Dr. Nabil Iftikhar Awan

Dr. Nabil Iftikhar Awan is Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, currently practising at Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, Rehman Medical Institute.

He specializes in Congenital and Adult Cardiac Surgery, management of Complex Congenital Heart diseases, handling diseases of the Thoracic Aorta and Cardiac Tumours, making him a valuable asset in the field of cardiac care.

Dr. Nabil Iftikhar Awan, after completing MBBS at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, and an internship at Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar, joined Rehman Medical Institute as a Medical Officer in the Cardiac Surgical ICU for two years.

Subsequently, Dr. Awan underwent residency training in Cardiac Surgery under Prof. Muhammad Rehman at RMI. Progressing to the role of Senior Registrar in the same institute, he achieved FCPS in Cardiac Surgery. Further enhancing his expertise, Dr. Awan contributed to the Paediatric Cardiac Surgery department at Bahria International Hospital, Lahore, accumulating valuable experience over one and a half years.
