Simulation Instructor Workshop Highlights AI's Role in Healthcare
Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) concluded its three-day Simulation Instructor Workshop, a key component of late Surgeon Dr. Muhammad Kabir 2nd International Conference on "AI: Dawn of a New Reality in Healthcare and Education."
The workshop, held in collaboration with Gandhara University, focused on advancing simulation techniques and exploring the transformative potential of AI in healthcare and education. The workshop featured expert presentations by Dr. Iqbal Wahid, Associate Dean at RMI, Prof. Dr. Naila Irum Hadi, Director of DME at PGMI, and Mr. Ammar, Technical Adviser at Modernistic.
The speakers shared their insights on the latest developments in simulation technology, including high-fidelity mannequins, virtual reality simulations, and AI-powered patient simulators. They also discussed the applications of AI in various healthcare and educational settings, such as medical training, surgical planning, and patient diagnosis.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of simulation-based training, including improved patient safety, enhanced clinical skills, and reduced costs. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, such as the design and development of simulation scenarios, the use of AI-powered virtual patients, and the assessment of learner performance using advanced analytics.
The workshop also explored the ethical implications of AI in healthcare and education, emphasizing the importance of responsible and transparent use of technology. Participants discussed the potential biases in AI algorithms and the need for human oversight to ensure ethical decision-making.
The workshop culminated in a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants were recognized for their successful completion of the program. The certificates validated their expertise in simulation techniques and their understanding of AI's role in healthcare and education.
The Simulation Instructor Workshop was a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation and excellence in medical education. By providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge, the workshop will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of healthcare and education in the region.
