RMI hosts nutritional awareness camp to promote healthy habits

RMI's Nutrition and Dietetics Department, in collaboration with NCS School, hosted a Nutritional Awareness Camp to combat childhood malnutrition. With a resolute focus on promoting healthy eating and homemade foods, the enlightening camp was aimed to equip school-going children with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed dietary choices.

The children were also educated about the benefits of consuming water and other hydrating beverages, safeguarding them against the risks of dehydration in summer heat. Through interactive sessions, engaging activities, and informative demonstrations, the camp shed light on the detrimental effects of unhealthy food choices and the impact they have on young bodies and minds.

According to estimates, 1 in 3 children under five suffers from malnutrition globally. By instilling these essential habits early on, the camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also laid the foundation for a lifetime of well-being.
