RMI hosts 2nd Cardiovascular and Thoracic Grand Round

RMI hosted 2nd Cardiovascular and Thoracic Grand Round on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The event was attended by leading cardiac surgeons from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman, Prof. Dr. Syed Shahkar, Prof. Dr. Azam Jan, Dr. Abdul Malik, and Dr. Muhammad Tariq Khan.

The grand round organised under the umbrella of Pakistan Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (PACVTS) featured presentations by cardiac residents from RMI and other leading hospitals in the region. The residents presented interesting cases and discussed latest advances in cardiovascular surgery. At the end of the grand round, prizes were awarded to top three presenters. 

The grand round was a valuable opportunity for cardiac surgeons and residents to share knowledge and learn from each other. It also helped to raise awareness of the latest advances in cardiovascular surgery.

The event was organised by the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at RMI which is headed by Prof. Dr. Rehman, who is a renowned cardiac surgeon with over 30 years of experience. The department is committed to providing high-quality cardiac care to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The grand round is one of the many ways in which the department is working to achieve this goal.
