Prof. Dr. Zubair Ahmad Khan
Dr. Zubair Ahmad Khan is an accomplished and highly experienced surgeon, currently serving as Professor and Focal Person of Surgery at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI). With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Khan has established himself as an expert in the field of General and Laparoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Khan's academic credentials are exemplary, having secured several scholarships and awards throughout his academic journey. He completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical College (KMC) in 1990 and went on to complete his postgraduate training at Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH). He also completed his fellowship from the prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
Dr. Khan's expertise and skills have been recognized internationally, having completed a primary fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is also registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Irish Medical Council. Dr. Khan's experience abroad includes working at Wexford General Hospital and Meath Hospital Dublin, both in Ireland.
As an approved supervisor of surgery at the postgraduate level, Dr. Khan is committed to training and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He is also actively involved as an invigilator and facilitator of surgical workshops and an examiner of surgery for the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
Dr. Zubair served as the convener of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) for the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (M&DC) inspection, leading to PM&DC's accreditation with WFME. He remains on the list of inspectors for PM&DC, conducting evaluations of medical institutions across Pakistan.
