Dr. Mohammad Bin Afsar Jan
Dr. Mohammad Bin Afsar Jan PT did Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from University of Karachi and Masters in Neurological Physical Therapy from University of Queensland Australia. He is currently enrolled in PhD program from University of Lahore. Mr. Mohammad joined RMI in Nov 2015 as Principal College of Rehabilitation Sciences and Head of Physical therapy Department.
His work experience includes three years at Victoria at East Grampian health services where he dealt with areas of cardiorespiratory, orthopaedic, neurology, sports, musculoskeletal and community base rehabilitation. After coming back to Pakistan, he joined the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) as a senior Physical Therapist. After four year, he joined, the Khyber Medical University as a lecturer, later promoted to Assistant Professor and served as Director/ Principal of the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from 2011-15.
Dr. Mohammad introduced Masters program in Liaquat National Hospital Karachi in 2005. He remained faculty member of postgraduate programs to the leading institutes of Pakistan such as Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dow University Karachi, School of Physical Therapy Liaquat National Hospital Karachi, College of Physical therapy Ziauddin University, School of Physical Therapy Mayo Hospital King Edward University Lahore and Riphah College of Rehabilitation Islamabad.
He is member of Australian Physical Therapy association and Pakistan Physical Therapy society. He has facilitated several workshops and conferences both nationally and internationally. He is currently President of Pakistan Physical Therapy society.
