Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is a constellation of five risk factors which can lead towards developing diabetes, stroke and heart diseases. These risks factors are increased blood pressure, high blood sugar level, excessive fats around the waist, high triglyceride levels, and low levels of good cholesterol or HDL.

Symptoms

Treatment
  • Eating healthy diet which is good for heart 
  • Physical activity at least 30 minutes 
  • Maintaining healthy weight according to Body Mass Index (BMI) 
  • Quit smoking  
  • Limited intake of salt and saturated fats
