Hypertriglyceridemia

Hypertriglyceridemia is also known as plasma triglyceride (TG). In this condition, the levels of triglyceride are increased in the blood.

  • Poorly controlled diabetes 
  • Sedentary lifestyle  
  • Type 2 diabetes  
  • Metabolic syndrome 
  • Familial hyperlipidaemia 
  • Insulin resistance 
     
Symptoms
  • Dementia 
  • Loss of memory 
  • Gastrointestinal pain 
  • Fats especially yellow in colour on or around eyelids. It is known as Xanthelasmas 
  • Difficulty while breathing 
  • Cholesterol form deposits around the outside of your cornea. It is known as Corneal arcus 
  • An irregular yellow patch or nodule on the skin, caused by deposition of lipids. It is called Xanthomas
