Hodgkin Disease

Often termed as Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of lymphatic system that forms the immune system of body. This usually causes an enlarged lymph node. The cancer then spreads to the nearby lymph nodes. This kind of cancer at advanced stages may spread to lungs, liver or bone marrow. 

Symptoms
  • Painless swelling of lymph nodes in neck, armpits or groin
  • persistent fatigue
  • fever
  • night sweats
  • unexplained weight loss
  • severe itching
  • sensitivity towards alcohol.

 

Treatment

Treatment typically depends on the stage of the cancer. The main treatment options are chemotherapy and radiation. In advanced stages, targeted therapeutic drugs may be added to your chemotherapy regimen. Immunotherapy or a stem cell transplant may also be used if you don’t respond to chemotherapy or radiation.
