An individual’s mental health is influenced by a combination of factors that can be related to an individual, interactions with society, community and family.
Psychiatry refers to a field of medicine dedicated specifically on the mind, aiming to study, prevent, and treat mental disorders in humans. It has been described as an intermediary between the world from a social context and the world from the perspective of those who are mentally unfit.
The Department of Psychiatry at RMI provides treatment to support both inpatients and outpatients, with common to complex mental health issues. The common age bracket of patients at RMI include young adolescents and older adults.
