Coronary Care Unit

Every Heartbeat Monitored. Every Second Counts

The RMI Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is a 16-bed, fully equipped intensive care unit dedicated to the treatment and recovery of cardiac patients. With round-the-clock expert monitoring and advanced clinical support, we ensure precise, continuous care during the most critical stages of heart treatment.

Advanced Vigilance for Cardiac Recovery

At RMI, our CCU is more than just a ward; it is a high-tech environment where technology and expertise meet to save lives.

Nursing Care: We maintain a high nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure that every change in a patient’s condition is noticed and acted upon instantly.

Continuous Cardiac Monitoring: Every bed is equipped with advanced telemetry that tracks heart rhythm, oxygen levels, and blood pressure in real-time, centralized at a master nursing station.

Immediate Intervention Access: Located in close proximity to our Catheterization Labs and Cardiac ORs, the CCU ensures that if a patient needs a procedure, they are moved in seconds, not minutes.

Specialized Cardiac Team: The unit is led by Consultant Cardiologists and supported by specialized Cardiac Fellows and Clinical Pharmacists who ensure medication precision.

The Infrastructure of Safety

Our CCU is equipped with the latest global life-support technology:

Advanced Ventilators: Providing respiratory support for patients with cardiac-related breathing difficulties.

Defibrillators & Pacemakers: Immediate access to temporary pacing and life-saving rhythm correction at every bedside.

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP): Critical support for a failing heart to maintain blood flow to the rest of the body.

Bedside Echocardiography: Rapid, non-invasive imaging to check heart function without moving the patient.

A Partner in Your Loved One’s Care

We understand that having a family member in the CCU is stressful. We are committed to transparency:

Strict Sterile Environment: To protect our vulnerable patients, we maintain high standards of infection control.

Daily Consultations: Our team provides regular updates to family members regarding the patient’s progress and treatment plan.

Quiet Healing Zone: We minimize noise and light to ensure patients get the restorative rest necessary for heart healing.

RMI CCU goes beyond monitoring vital signs and focuses on patient safety and recovery. Our team provides precise, attentive, and continuous care to stabilize the heart and support a safe return to health.
