Cochlear Implant

The Gift of Sound, The Power of Connection

Rehabilitating hearing requires a blend of precision and compassion. RMI’s specialized Cochlear Implant  programme offers a transformative experience for patients of all ages, utilizing cutting-edge technology and a team of expert consultants.

Why RMI for Hearing Restoration?

A Regional Leader: Since 2018, Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) has pioneered structured cochlear implantation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, turning silence into speech for dozens of families.

The Full Spectrum of Care: We are one of the few centers where surgeons, audiologists, and speech therapists work under one roof to ensure your device is mapped perfectly.

Life-Long Support: A cochlear implant is a journey, not a one-day surgery. We provide long-term maintenance, device mapping, and technical support.

Accessible Excellence: We proudly offer cochlear implant services under the Sehat Card Plus program, ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of a child’s future.

The Path to Sound

Candidacy Evaluation: A thorough assessment by our ENT surgeons and audiologists to ensure a cochlear implant is the right solution.

Precision Surgery: Performed in a specialized otologic theatre using minimally invasive techniques for faster healing.

The “Switch-On” Moment: Four weeks after surgery, the device is activated, the first time the patient hears sound.

Speech & Auditory Rehab: Our dedicated therapists work with patients (especially children) to help them understand sounds and develop clear speech.
