Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) inaugurated Ward Q, Oncology & Palliative Care Services, marking a major advancement in comprehensive cancer treatment in Peshawar. The newly launched facility strengthens RMI’s commitment to delivering accessible, patient-centered, and advanced oncology care under one roof.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by KP Health Minister Khaliq Ur Rehman as the chief guest. During his visit, he toured the oncology ward, interacted with patients, and appreciated RMI’s efforts to improve cancer care services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ward Q offers specialized oncology and palliative care services, advanced treatment support, and a dedicated oncology pharmacy to ensure streamlined and compassionate care for cancer patients. The facility aims to enhance patient comfort while supporting effective diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

The event was also attended by RMI leadership, consultants, healthcare professionals, and oncology specialists, including Dr. Irfan Haider, who acknowledged the importance of expanding quality cancer treatment facilities in the region.

A cancer survivor also shared an inspiring message of gratitude, highlighting RMI’s compassionate approach toward patient care and recovery.

Residents will have access to additional certification courses including:

– Research Methodology
– BLS AHA (Provider)

– Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education

– Selection shall be based on:
– Merit as per MBBS marks
– Minimum six months job experience after House Job
– Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience
– Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
– Preference will be given to RMC graduates

– For sub-specialty applicants, a minimum of two years training/experience in the relevant general specialty is mandatory
