The 9th RMI Media Cricket League 2025 commenced with a vibrant and energetic opening ceremony at the Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar. The event marked an exciting start to a tournament focused on sportsmanship, unity, and community engagement. It brought together media professionals in a lively and competitive environment. The league was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi. He formally opened the tournament by playing the first ball. In addition, Minister for Sports Taj Muhammad Tarand, Minister for Local Government Meena Khan Afridi, and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Shafi Jan were also present. Furthermore, Director General of Sports Tashfeen Haider and representatives of the Peshawar Press Club attended the event. This year’s RMI Media Cricket League features 20 participating teams from the Peshawar Press Club.
