Congenital Paediatric Cardiac Surgery Workshop RMI: 2-Day Training

RMI collaborated with the Paediatric Cardiac Surgery team from Bahria International Hospital for a series of complex paediatric heart surgeries. Our Consultant, Dr. Tariq Sohail Babar | Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon, and Dr. Azam Jan | Consultant Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon, along with Dr. Syed Aitizaz Ud Din | Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon, Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed | HOD Anaesthesia and Paediatric Intensive Care, Assistant Consultant Cardiac Surgery, together with their perfusionist, worked alongside our team to manage challenging paediatric cardiac surgeries.

The team visited RMI again for a two-day collaboration on 22nd and 23rd August 2025, assisting with complex paediatric cardiac cases.

Chairman, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman, also visited during the collaboration to oversee the proceedings and encourage the teams for their dedicated efforts.

This partnership reflects RMI’s commitment to advancing specialised care for children with heart conditions and ensuring better outcomes through teamwork and expertise.

– Selection shall be based on:
– Merit as per MBBS marks
– Minimum six months job experience after House Job
– Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience
– Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
– Preference will be given to RMC graduates
