Paediatric Cardiac Care Symposium: Advancing Excellence

Advancing excellence in paediatric cardiac care, RMI hosted the 1st Paediatric Cardiac Care Symposium. This one-day academic event was dedicated to improving outcomes for children with complex congenital heart diseases. Moreover, it provided a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration among healthcare professionals. As a result, the symposium played a vital role in strengthening specialized cardiac care for children.

The symposium brought together renowned paediatric cardiac surgeons and cardiologists from leading institutions across Pakistan. In addition, the event featured expert-led lectures, case-based discussions, and highly interactive sessions. These sessions focused on the latest advancements in surgical and interventional management of congenital cardiac anomalies. Therefore, participants were able to stay updated with modern techniques and evolving treatment strategies.

Furthermore, the academic sessions encouraged active participation and critical thinking. Through real-case discussions, attendees gained practical insights into managing complex cardiac conditions. This approach not only enhanced clinical understanding but also improved decision-making skills. Consequently, the symposium contributed to building confidence among healthcare professionals working in paediatric cardiac care.

In addition to the main sessions, three specialized workshops were held simultaneously. These workshops were carefully designed to provide hands-on learning and multidisciplinary collaboration. The first workshop focused on Paediatric Cardiac Interventions and Surgery, offering practical exposure to interventional procedures.

The second workshop covered Congenital Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology Sessions, where participants explored advanced surgical techniques and diagnostic approaches. Meanwhile, the third workshop emphasized Intensive Care, Anaesthesia, and Perfusion, highlighting the importance of perioperative care in improving patient outcomes.

Moreover, these workshops allowed participants to interact closely with experts and peers. This created an environment of collaborative learning and professional development. As a result, attendees were able to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a comprehensive manner.

Overall, the 1st Symposium on Paediatric Cardiac Interventions & Surgery reflects RMI’s commitment to advancing medical education and improving patient care. By organizing such academic events, RMI continues to promote innovation, skill development, and excellence in healthcare. Therefore, this symposium stands as a significant step toward enhancing the quality of paediatric cardiac services in Pakistan.
