A prestigious Grand Round of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) held on 13 February brought together leading oral and maxillofacial surgeons from across the province at Rehman College of Dentistry (RCD).
Organized by the college’s OMFS department, the event served as a premier platform for oral and maxillofacial surgeons to present complex clinical cases, exchange evidence-based insights, and explore the latest advancements in surgical techniques and patient care.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Prof. Dr. Ghulam Rasool, Principal of Rehman College of Dentistry, who emphasized the importance of professional collaboration and shared learning in advancing oral and maxillofacial surgery.
“We are interdependent on each other’s knowledge,” Prof. Ghulam Rasool stated. “Such sessions should be conducted regularly to strengthen our clinical approach and enhance patient outcomes.”
He further proposed rotating future grand rounds among different institutions to encourage wider participation, foster inter-institutional collaboration, and promote diverse clinical exposure across the region.
