The Clinical Physical Therapy Trainee ship Program (CPTTP) 2019
The Clinical Physical Therapy Traineeship Program (CPTTP) is a one month training program for final year DPT students/Fresh graduates based on placement in different wards, OPD and theoretical sessions. This program is being conducted successfully by Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Department RMI since 2016 with increasing number of students/trainees each year. Till date around 60-70 trainees from different institute have been trained so far.
This year the program was kept short & focused on specialized training of Neuro, ICU , Cardiac Surgey Rehabilitation & Sports Rehabilitation. The program started on 26th August and was concluded on 7th September 2019. Students and graduates from different institutes of Pakistan like Riphah International University Lahore, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Islamabad, Women Medical College Abbotabad, HHIS, NCS , NWIHS and KMU were part of the program.
The closing ceremony was led by Dr. Zia-ul-Haq (Dean Public Health, Khyber Medical University) as the chief guest. Dr. Mohammad Bin Afsar Jan (HOD Physical Therapy Department) appreciated the efforts of the staff and highlighted the cores of the program and the future aims of the department. Certificates and shields were distributed among the trainees, clinical, academic supervisors and course coordinators.
