ICHR-2026 Opening Ceremony

The ICHR-2026 Opening Ceremony was held at Rehman College of Dentistry (RCD) with an atmosphere shaped by purpose, where every session, every exchange, and every voice carried a shared focus on improving healthcare through meaningful research.

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Rasool, Patron of ICHR-26 and Principal RCD, set a clear direction, stating that research must do more than inform—it must guide policy, strengthen institutions, and lead to practical solutions. He emphasized that platforms like ICHR-26 bring together the thinking needed to turn evidence into action.

Dr. Naseer Ahmad reflected on the journey of ICHR, from a modest beginning to its fifth edition as a national forum. He highlighted the theme ‘real-world research to real-world decisions,’ stressing that research must move beyond papers and translate into better care for patients.

CEO RMI Shafique Ur Rehman offered a direct perspective, noting that while academic output continues to grow, its impact must be felt on the ground. He called for research that addresses real challenges in the region and stressed the importance of building capacity to create lasting change.

Provincial Minister for Health, Mian Khaliq Ur Rehman acknowledged the role of Rehman Medical Institute in hosting conferences that contribute to the healthcare sector. He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services and increasing investment, adding that such conferences play an important role in shaping policies.

As ICHR-26 moves forward, it stands as a space where ideas are tested against reality, where research is expected to deliver, and where the focus remains firmly on outcomes that improve lives.
