Echocardiography Department is equipped with three top of the line Color Doppler Echocardiography machines. Capable of acquiring excellent resolution and digital features for processing and storing the images. These machines can perform Trans thoracic echocardiograms in adults & children, trans-esophageal echocardiography as well stress echocardiography. All the- echocardiograms are performed by a qualified and dedicated cardiac sinologist having special training in congenital heart diseases. The department also imparts training to junior cardiac technicians and medical officers.
Exercise testing Department
Exercise testing is an important part of evaluation of patients with suspected or diagnosed cardiac problems. The patient is exercised on a treadmill while his 12 lead ECG is continuously monitored by a computerized machine which continuously processes and displays all the leads simultaneously. The machine has advanced signal averaging capability to filter out artifacts and produces high quality printout for accurate diagnosis. For those patients who cannot perform exercise due to physical disability, the alternate method of pharmacological stress testing is employed.
